Nitis Sthapitanonda

After receiving his Bachelor of Design degree from the University of Florida in 1999, Nitis Sthapitanonda earned his Master of Architecture degree from Columbia University in 2002. Upon graduation, he joined the San Francisco office of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP before returning to Thailand to join A49 in 2003. Since then, he has contributed to a diverse range of projects, including large-scale mixed-use developments, private residences, high-rise condominiums, as well as numerous hotels and resorts throughout Asia. In 2006, Nitis helped establish A49 (Phuket) branch office and was appointed Deputy Managing Director, while continuing to play an active leadership role at A49’s main office. He was later promoted to Deputy Managing Director of A49 in 2024. In addition to his professional work, Nitis has contributed significantly to the architectural community. He served on the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Association of Siamese Architects from 2004 to 2016 and has been a member of the Subcommittee on Foreign Affairs of the Architect Council of Thailand from 2004 to the present.
