My name is Duong, I'm a 4th year student. As a student, my professional interests should come first, but I always want to go and experience architecture & people around the country.
When I saw the information on social media, I was really interested and wanted to participate so that I could freely create a bath space that I have always wanted. First of all, I always want to learn from people around me, especially from the jury, and then I want to experience interacting with domestic and foreign students to learn more about their style in interior design.
I am very lucky that both entries in two categories were finalists. With the residential category, my inspiration is comfort and enjoyment in a space after a long day of work and that's where the owner can live with emotion and freshness like a tree after summer rain. For the Hotel, Resort category, I took the background as high-rise hotels in Da Nang where sunshine and sandy beaches are the two factors that create the atmosphere and feeling of the contest.
My biggest challenge in the competition was in Residential Design where I tried to free up all the space to create a fully functional shower space but only 6-7 square meters in size. After the competition, I learned many things from the practical experience from the judges.
I think you should put a lot of your emotions into the submission and give the submission the atmosphere you want to convey as much as possible and do your research to create good layouts.
I feel very fortunate to have entered the final round and am very happy to hear the comments of the jury committee and look forward to being able to attend the international round to learn more.
