What the judges will be looking for
The design approach should address the everyday needs of modern families- including elderly members, parents, and young children and demonstrate how the bathroom design and selected American Standard products enhance daily comfort, care, and well-being at home, even with limited spaces.
The aesthetics should be warm, thoughtful, and visually appealing, reflecting a sense of comfort and connection suited for a family-oriented residential space.
It should showcase the participant’s imagination and offer a unique perspective on improving daily living. Participant should demonstrate the ability to solve real-life design challenges in an approach that is not influenced by what is already available.
The design concept should be feasible and realistic, enabling implementation in the real-life scenario within everyday residential settings.

Participation Criteria
In order to participate in this competition,

Participants must be enrolled in a full-time Architecture or Interior Design undergraduate at 15 January 2026.

The undergraduate program can be with any university or educational institution worldwide, but to take part in a country’s / region’s design competition, the participant must be residing in that country / region at 15 January 2026. For the avoidance of doubt, a participant does not have to hold the nationality of the country’s design competition that they enter, but must be residing in that country as at 16 January 2026.
Design competitions will be held for Indochina (being Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar), Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
Judging Criteria

Purposeful Design
40 points
Concept should address the everyday needs of modern families- including elderly members, parents, and young children- and demonstrate how the bathroom design and selected American Standard products enhance daily comfort, care, and well-being at home, even with limited spaces.

Inviting Style
30 points
The design aesthetics should be warm, thoughtful, and visually appealing, reflecting a sense of comfort and connection suited for a family-oriented residential space.

Originality
20 points
The entry should showcase the participant’s imagination and offer a unique perspective on improving daily living. Participant should demonstrate the ability to solve real-life design challenges in an approach that is not influenced by what is already available.

Feasibility
10 points
The concept should be feasible and realistic, enabling implementation in the real-life scenario within everyday residential settings.
Note:
Bonus points will be awarded for the use of recommended products (maximum of 5 points).
Judging Process
Qualified entries will be judged at 2 levels:
National Level and Asia-Pacific Level.
At the National level, the judging panel will evaluate the entries received from local participants. Regional competition will be conducted across Asia-Pacific and the 1st Prize Winners from each country will be evaluated by the Asia-Pacific Judging Panel to be awarded the Grand Prize Winner.

- Up to 10 best entries will be shortlisted.
- Shortlisted participants will present their entries to the national judging panel in person or via a Zoom call.
- 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will be awarded.
National Level Winners
Level 2 National Level Judging
- 1st Prize Winners of the National level will be invited to present their concepts to the APAC Judging Panel via Zoom call.
- 1 APAC Grand Prize Winner will be awarded.
Asia-Pacific Grand Prize Winner
Judging Process

Each winner will receive an Award plaque.
All participants will receive a Certificate of Participation.

Grand Prize USD 3,000
Plus an invitation to the ASDA 2026 Exhibit & Award Ceremony and a Design Masterclass led by industry experts.
