What is the inspiration for your design?
Inspired by practicality and simplicity, my design exhibits a space whereby relaxation and practicality co exist. As work from home and home based learning becomes a new normal in this pandemic, practical bathrooms are very important in a home nowadays. I wanted to design a space that is functional for everyday usage while also providing the chance and ambiance for maximum relaxation at the end of the day.

Who is the target user and how does the design fulfill the need of the target user?
I wanted a space that was user-friendly for working-from-home families with children. With housing becoming more compact, a bathroom that can meet everyday demands while also providing relaxation is becoming increasingly crucial, and I wanted to create a space where both adults and children could walk around safely. As a result, the major style I desired for the walls and shower area was seamless rounded corners.

How does the design fulfill the theme for the chosen category?
Urbanisation is the theme of my chosen category and my design is highly suitable for high rise condominuims with smaller bathroom space. High amount of considerations were put into making full use of the bathroom space and creating a space that would be most suited for a family with childrens age 4-8. With rounded corners and a layout that allows most movement for the family throughout the day.

How does the choice of products contribute to the purpose of the design?
As keeping good hygiene is important every other day, it is a crucial part of daily life now as we live with the pandemic. Not only because of the simplistic aesthetics, but also because of the antibacterial touch points, the click technology on the faucets, and the well-thought-out design on the vast range of products, I picked the Acacia Evolution collection to be a part of my design. Allowing me to select products that are appropriate for my design and target audience
